Jóvenes Unidos is organizing and lobbying at the Colorado State Capitol and meeting with lawmakers to discuss the "Educator Evaluations and Effectiveness" bill. If passed, this bill will ensure that:

  • The lowest-performing schools receive the most effective teachers
  • Teacher evaluation and retention are tied to student achievement
  • Schools can recruit, develop, and retain effective educators

In a time when principals from the lowest performing schools are fueled by a sense of urgency for improvement, their liberty to build teams of teachers with buy-in and a passion for the mission of their schools is paramount.

Come to our community meeting to discuss the "Educator Evaluations and Effectiveness" bill with prime sponsor, Senator Michael Johnston.
