The Freedom to Learn Vision

The Freedom to Learn Campaign is the umbrella that encompasses all of our work for educational justice. The Padres & Jovenes Unidos Freedom to Learn Campaign is based on the idea that education is a RIGHT, not a privilege. We believe that ALL students, regardless of race, income, or immigration status, deserve equal access to high-quality public schools that prepares them for college and equal access to higher education. Through youth and parent led organizing campaigns, the Freedom to Learn directly addresses the root causes of institutional racism and poverty that manifest themselves as low expectations and lack of investment in the education of low-income students of color.

Our Freedom to Learn Vision includes our five campaigns:
